Audition Material
First and foremost, please ensure you REGISTER! Once you register, you will receive a personal drop folder into which you will place your video audition.

Students are to prepare and record two contrasting pieces of the student's own choice (there are some resources below, but students are not expected to prepare something from what is provided).
Minimum 2 choruses of improvisation on the blues progression (any key - play-along resources below).
​
Drummers: play swing, latin & ballad, as well as solo in any style.
​
Bass: Two contrasting pieces (play melody and bass line), solo & walk on the blues.
​
Piano/Guitar/Vibes: Two contrasting pieces (melody and comp), solo & comp on the blues.
​
Potential lead trumpet players: include material that demonstrates range.

Submission Deadline: Friday, May 16, 2025
Results Announced: Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Registration Deadline: Friday, May 30, 2025
